Day 5 – boas and spiders and monkeys, oh my
Five or six times a day I say hello to Mr. Wolf spider. He keeps us company in Casa Miramar at Bosque del Cabo.
We’re actually pretty close to the Morgan Family Lodge where I stayed back in March, on the south inside edge of the Golfo Dolce where it meets the Pacific.
Casa Miramar is a lovely house we’re sharing with the Bassett family. It includes a beautiful plunge pool and a spectacular view of the ocean. I think this is what nature photographers try to pass off as “roughing” it.
There are at least a half-dozen photog’s browsing the grounds with their giant backpacks and massive flash systems with extenders to “throw” he light. I’ll stick to my D300s, 50/1.4, 17-35/2.8 and a borrowed 70-300/4.5-5.6 from Eamon’s brother Liam (thanks!). Easy and light.
I’ll post more soon, but for now iPhone images need to suffice. This image was taken near the main lodge of the property. Pura Vida.
